How Schoology works for parents
Schoology is a learning platform many middle and high schools use for assignments, grades, and announcements. Like Canvas, you only get the updates if you set up a parent account and turn on the right notifications.
Set up a parent account
- 1. Ask your school for a parent access code for your child.
- 2. Go to schoology.com and sign up as a parent, or download the Schoology app.
- 3. Enter the access code to link your child. Some districts set this up for you and send the login.
Choose your notifications
In your account settings under Notifications, Schoology lets you pick what to hear about, like new announcements, grade updates, and overdue assignments, and how (email or push). A daily summary keeps you informed without a constant buzz.
The gap notifications leave
Even set up well, Schoology is only one of your channels. Email, ParentSquare, Remind, and texts all carry school messages too. AVVI watches out for all of them in one place and tells the urgent items from the routine ones, so a Schoology due date or a slipping grade does not get lost among everything else.
Let AVVI catch the ones that matter
AVVI watches out for your school messages and shows you only the ones that matter, the moment it matters. Free for pilot families.
